5. Registration on this website - use of the donation portal

On this website you can register for the donation portal of the DRK-Landesverband Rheinland-Pfalz e. V. (DRK-LV RLP) to use additional functions on the site. 

With the donation portal, the DRK-Landesverband Rheinland-Pfalz e. V. (DRK-LV RLP) has an online platform for arranging donations and offers of help. Donors and help providers as well as those in need can create and publish advertisements. Interested parties can contact the advertisers via the portal. 

The donation portal is aimed at those in need of help and brings donors together with those interested and those offering help with those seeking help. Through targeted donation advertisements and offers of help and targeted searches for donations and help, donations and help can be easily coordinated by those affected so that they arrive where they are needed. 

Mediation via the hotline

Offerers and searchers can place their ads via the Hotline of the DRK-LV RLP 06131-2828 1028. The ads are entered anonymously in the donation portal. An e-mail address of the DRK-LV RLP is stored as a contact address. If an interested party contacts us for an advertisement, we contact the offerer or searcher and forward them the contact details of the interested party. 

Mediation via the donation portal

Offerers and seekers can Registration place advertisements (on the portal) directly in the donation portal. The ads are published with the postal code and, if applicable, the user name. Interested parties can use the "Send messages" button to contact the ad creator directly via a chat. If a new chat message is received, the person who created the ad or interested parties will be informed by email about the new message in the donation portal.

Which personal data do we process?

As part of the use of the phone Hotline we request the following personal data from you:

First name, surname, address with postal code, telephone, email address, occupation, offer of help, preferred area of ​​application, period of help, prior medical knowledge. The indication of the name, the e-mail address and the postal code are mandatory for the publication of an advertisement. All other information is voluntary information. 

Within the Registration In the donation portal we request the following personal data from you:

Profile picture, first name, last name, profile description, email address. The e-mail address is mandatory, all other information is voluntary and can be managed in the user account itself. When placing an ad, we ask for the zip code. The provision of the postal code is a requirement for the publication of an advertisement.

There is no legal or contractual obligation to transmit the requested information to us. Without providing the mandatory information, however, we cannot place an ad for you or you cannot register and place an ad yourself. Your data is processed for the purpose of connecting donors and those offering help with those in need and for user administration. The legal basis for processing is the justified user relationship, Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR. In addition, we use your e-mail address to inform you about new messages in the donor portal chat. For important changes, such as the scope of the offer or technically necessary changes, we use the e-mail address provided during registration to inform you in this way.

We store your data for the duration of the advertisement or as long as you are registered as a user. An advertisement ends when a successful mediation has taken place, you withdraw the advertisement or, if you use the hotline, you ask us to delete the advertisement from the donation portal. User registration ends when the user account is deleted. Statutory retention periods remain unaffected.

Warranty and Liability

If an advertisement is created via the hotline, the DRK-LV RLP takes over the creation of the advertisement and the contact mediation. If an advertisement is created via the donation portal, the DRK-LV RLP makes the platform available, but it does not take on any other services. The contact is made directly via the chat of the donor portal.

The DRK-LV RLP does not check the neediness of those interested and those seeking help and assumes no liability for the actual neediness of those interested or those seeking help. Furthermore, the DRK-LV RLP assumes no liability for the correctness and completeness of the information contained in the advertisements. The DRK-LV RLP does not check the personal qualifications of the person offering the help, on which the offers of help are based, and assumes no liability for the execution of the help services. A liability of the DRK-LV RLP for damages of any kind resulting from the donations or assistance is excluded.

This site uses so-called web fonts provided by Google for the uniform display of fonts. The Google Fonts are installed locally. There is no connection to Google servers.

This site uses the map service Google Maps. The provider is Google Ireland Limited ("Google"), Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland.
